# Privacy policy

This policy explains what HumanFirstJobs collects, why, and what you can do about it.

## What we collect

- **Account details**: name, email address and password (stored hashed).
- **Job seeker profiles and applications**: your resume, work history, education and the messages you send employers.
- **Employer details**: company name, website, logo and billing details. Card details are held by Stripe, never by us.
- **Reports of AI use**: what you tell us and any evidence you upload.
- **Usage**: basic analytics for visitors who are not signed in, and server logs kept for security.

## How we use AI on our side

When you upload a resume we send it to an AI model to fill in your profile fields. You review every field before it is saved. We never use AI to rank or judge you, and we never sell your data or use it to train models.

## Who sees your information

- **Employers you apply to** see your application, resume and profile. Employers you have not applied to do not.
- **Employers you report** never learn who reported them.
- **Service providers** that run the site for us: hosting, email delivery, payments (Stripe), resume parsing and help center answers (Anthropic) and analytics (Google Analytics, for visitors who are not signed in).

## How long we keep it

Applications are kept while the job is open and for 12 months after, so employers can meet record-keeping duties. Emails you send to our support addresses are kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation. Reports are kept while they count toward enforcement and for the transparency report in aggregate only. You can delete your account at any time from settings.

## Your rights

You can download everything we hold about you from your account settings, correct it, or delete your account. Residents of Canada, California and other places with privacy laws have these rights by law; we extend them to everyone.
