Editing or closing a job

Change a live job, what applicants are told, and how to close or extend it.

Updated

Editing a job

Choose Edit job from a job's Manage menu on your Jobs page. You can edit drafts, jobs waiting for review and live jobs, at no cost.

When you change a live job:

  • the job shows the date it was updated
  • applicants and people who saved it get an email listing what changed, at most once a day per job
  • the new details go through the same checks as publishing. A change that breaks the rules, such as a salary outside our limits, is refused. A change that trips one of our scam checks takes the job down until a person reviews it

Extending a job

Jobs stay live for 30 days.

While posting is free, you can extend a live job by another 30 days for free from its Manage menu once it has a week or less left.

Closing a job

Choose Close job from the Manage menu when the role is filled. The job comes down straight away and its page tells visitors it has closed, with similar open jobs. Applicants keep their application history.

Still stuck? Write to [email protected] and a person will reply.
