Reading and replying to applicants
The applicant inbox, statuses, notes, declines and your reply promise.
Updated
Open a job's applicants from the number in the Applicants column on your Jobs page.
The applicant inbox
Each application shows the applicant's profile and resume exactly as they sent it, their cover note and when they applied. Only people on your hiring team can see it. You can keep private notes on each applicant; applicants never see them.
Moving applicants along
Set each application's status: reviewing, interviewing, offered or hired. Any change from new counts as a reply.
Declining
Not moving forward sends the applicant a short, respectful email from the person named on the job. Every applicant deserves an answer, and a quick no is kinder than silence.
Your reply promise
Each job promises applicants a reply within a set number of days. If that date passes, we remind your team and tell the applicant. Your company's on-time reply rate shows on your jobs once you've had a few applicants, so keeping the promise helps you hire.
A person must read every application. Using AI to screen, rank or summarize applicants breaks the no-AI policy.
