AI-use reports, suspensions and appeals

What happens when an applicant reports AI use, how to respond, and how to appeal.

Updated

Applicants can report an employer that used AI to screen, rank, assess or interview them. We never tell you who reported.

How reports add up

  • Every counted report warns your team by email.
  • Two counted reports mean your new jobs wait for review.
  • 3 counted reports within 90 days suspend your company: your jobs come down.

Giving your side

Open AI reports in your dashboard. You can respond to each report within 7 days. Tell us which tools you use at that stage and who reviews applicants. A person reads every response and can dismiss reports that don't hold up, which undoes their effect.

Appealing a suspension

A suspended company can appeal once, within 14 days, from the Appeal page. Only an owner can send it. If the appeal is upheld, your jobs come back with the days they had left. A second suspension after an upheld appeal is permanent.

Avoiding reports

Switch off AI ranking, matching, screening and interview features in your applicant tracking system, and have a person read every application. Read hiring without AI.
